As we enter this holy week, I am filled with joy for the salvation that was bought for those who believe by the sacrifice of the cross. I am also saddened by the way our society has chosen to celebrate it.

I used to embrace the fun side of Easter with the Easter bunny and the eggs and all. But, it seems, we have just gone too far. I wonder, when children grow up, what they will do when they face a crisis? Will they know that there is a God that loves them so much that He gave His only Son for their salvation? Or, will they just have memories of a fairy tale bunny who left them some candy? Will they understand the sacrifice of the cross?

Just some food for thought.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
