Sometimes, life throws you a curve. The death of a loved one, a lost job, a debilitating illness – anything unexpected – or in some cases expected, can send you into a spiral. Where will you end up?

Often, our response, at least in my case is that my stomach sinks, my heart races and my head feels like it will explode. Have you ever felt like this?

As I grow older, and experience more, I know that even though my head wants to respond this way, my heart draws me to Jesus, who says “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid. – John 14:27”

What if, whenever life throws me a curve, I ran to that verse? What if I ran to His Word that tells me to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs ?

What would my response be? Would the panic cease? Would the peace come? Life isn’t always easy, Often it is challenging. We all need to run to the truth and the peace of His Word. Praise be to God!
